The societal and economic challenges we are currently facing – such as the aging population and energy scarcity – are not just threats but also great opportunities for business. Meaningful innovations can create shared value by improving quality of life, engaging end-users and providing sustainable benefit for the relevant stakeholders in a new business ecosystem. This requires a better understanding of what the value for the different stakeholders actually is. Integrating ideas from economics, psychology, sociology and ecology helps to create meaningful innovations and ensure sustainable benefit for people, organizations and society.

The presentation will highlight two tools which Philips Innovation Services have developed to support this process on a practical level.
